sorry to say - have had several chats with Lungnet, lung group

here etc... seems for some odd reason that bronchitis is classified

copd, but NOT bronchiectasis. What are they thinking??

Hi Joy

I hope you are feeling better after your hospital stay.

From my experience, bronch used to be closely aligned with asthma in Aus but now it is closely linked with CF. From my understanding, COPD seems to be mainly Emphysema, chronic bronchitis & probably others I don't know about.

Keep well everyone. Theresa

hi Theresa,

after many discussions with CAPERS (pulm rehab here), Lungnet etc...

yes, you're dead right. Crazy, how can bronchitis be COPD & not

bronch for one thing, the other being why fund COPD to exclusion

(almost) of non-copd??

Maybe we all could (in Aus) start pestering Lungnet and the govt to

get their act together - or use anti-discrimination agencies...a

possibility?

cheers,

joy
