Dale,

I also take Livatone. Sometimes I get the Livatone powder, but this time I'm

trying Livatone Plus powder. I had to go without it about 10 days and just

received my order in today. I sure can tell a difference when taking it. I

just took some and already feel better. I couldn't stand going without it.

That stuff is so good that you can almost feel it working on you.

bye,

Susie

Jerome,

Thanks for your thoughts. I have been also trying alternaives other than

surgery. I am going to have the surgery in about 3 weeks. It has been a tough

decision, but being that I am only 36 I really do not want to have problems once

a month or more. I have been keeping a low fat diet and taking supplements. I

feel that the surgery will get rid of the stones and after that it is up to me

to continue on a healthy routine. If anything, this has been a wake up call!

Thanks

Randi

gallstones

Subject: Re: To do Surgery or NOT- Amy

Amy,

I had my gallbladder removed 6 1/2 months ago. I did the flushes for

six months prior, tried the Gold Coin Grass, Dr. Cabot's Healthy

Liver diet etc. I had the rare biliribin calcified stones which were

very black and very hard. Their only exit was going to be in the

extremely swollen bag they were in. I am glad I tried the flushes and

natural healing route but in the end I am very glad I had the surgery

too. I am sorry to hear that some people still are suffering after

the surgery but it certainly is not that way with me nor the

majority. I felt great within a week of the surgery and felt

completely recovered after one month. My O.D., M.D. has had a lot of

patients who have had their gallbladders out over his long career, he

is 73. He says that we can live just fine and normal lives without

the gallbladder. He has only had a few patients over the years that

have had bowel problems and they have been eliviated with proper

diet. Diet is the real key to success. And a person can not return to

their previous diet which caused the gallstones in the first place.

So, I just wanted to put in my 2 cents as it seems that there can be

an over abundance of negative and exaggerated information on the

subject that feeds ones fears and clouds ones reason.

Best of luck in your decision,

Jerome

Randi,

If you have any questions about what to expect, feel free to e-mail me

privately. The one piece of unsolicited advice I would like to give you, is

to ask about a cholangiogram. It is an x-ray of your liver and bile duct

done during surgery, to assure that there are no stones hanging around in

there. My surgeon feels that every surgeon should do this, because if

stones are left in there you could still have pain after surgery. If your

enzyme levels are normal, chances are you don't have stones in the bile

duct. If you did, then they do a follow-up procedure (some kind of scope

thing I think, no anesthesia) to remove them. I cannot remember what

percentage of people he said had stones in their duct, but it was very low.

It is good to have the piece of mind of knowing there is nothing in there

though.

Best of luck,

Debra

How are you doing on taking such supplements as EFAs and along with them,

taurine? I've really found that my problems have reduced quite considerably,

and this along with considering I have had Hep C since 1967. Of course I

didn't realize hep C was the same as serum hepatitis and it's complications

later in life. I'm now in the process of working on learning more about the

damages it causes for so many to have to have transplants.
