Anita, neither will make your " hyper " (using yours or the pharmacist's word) unless you are taking way more than you need. DHEA is excellent for your overall health, as is testosterone, especially if both are low and you need supplementation. Janie
Guest guest
Odd... I've been taking my DHEA (6 1/4 mg) dose about an hour before bed time, with my other supplements.. I didn't have any trouble sleeping.... I've been doing this for about 6 or 7 weeks now... Guest guest
> I thought that I would supplement. Are all DHEA's in the stores equal? Hi. No, they are not. If I was taking DHEA I would probably buy the pills that are sold at Rite Aid, they carry a brand called Pharmassure, and so far I really like the product. They are promised to be stable. Or like Janie mentioned, a gel is good...you need less transdemally from what I understand. >I bought 25mg. and wonder about hte differnet doses you all use. I have not been > tested for this hormone but will request all hormone testing in July. Most women take 25 mg via pill as the suggested dose. I would not go higher than that. Normally, I do not suggest DHEA to anyone who has not been tested. Like any hormone, if you do not know you are low on it for certain it may not be good for you to take more...DHEA is a powerful precursor hormone. Interesting when I bought the DHEA at Walgreens .....when the cashier > scanned the DHEA she said that it came on the screen that you have to be 27 to > buy this product!!!! 27?????? What is with 27??????? AND why didn't she ask > me for my ID??????? > I do not know the Walgreen rules. Pharmassure does not recommend dosage to anyone under the age of 40. Unless your adrenal cortexes are diseased or you are under chronic stress with HIGH cortisol, you have tons of DHEA until your mid 30's. That is probably a rule to keep young people from injesting hormones for performance reasons. Young people will try to take precursor hormones in order to increase testosterone in their bodies for muscle gain or sex drive. If one has a muscle or sex drive problem in your 20's obviously they need to see a doctor! However, youngin's are often crazy! I know I was. However, taking a dose of DHEA without being tested probably will not hurt you. It alleivates depression and adds muscle tone and weight loss and often increases sex drive. What made you decide you wanted/needed it??
Guest guest
Brownstein recommends 5-10mg of DHEA. I like Enzymatic Therapy but right now I am taking 7-keto DHEA by NOW (it's cheaper). Guest guest
I think 25mg is too much. 10 mg might be better. Gracia > , > > I thought that it might help my energy level. So it may be fine. 10 mg. via gel is great since the body uses 99% of natural hormones, as compared to the amount in a pill which is discarded by the liver.
