Guest guest
Good FOr you. We are at Lackland in San and our helmet was casted there and shipped off to be made and given back to us. NO PAYMENT and we had to have 2 helmets so we really lucked out. I am not sure how they got away with it but I did not ask questions.sunshinyday01 <sunshinyday01@...> wrote: Hi all those are my lil cuties on the front page. For those who don't know our story here it is. My boys where diagnosed with servier plagio in Sept 2005. We have TriCare through the US Air Force ( hubby is deployed so will be so excited to get the email about his boys on the front page) and they denied coverage for Starbands. With advice of other parents I went of CA health department and children's services who both turned us down. All of this took about 3 months to get word that they would not help. So we decided to us are last option and go to the Air Force Aid Society. We knew they would give us a no interest loan but never expected them to give us a full grant of $3600 to cover both starbands. The day hubby came home with the check I just feel to the floor crying. All the denials made me so stressed out and worried about how we where to pay to get our boys the medical attention they needed. That day was like something got lifted off my chest. On Feb 2nd (day after they turned 1 years old) both boys where casted at UC Medical Center Ortho department in Sacramento, CA. The staff there is the best bunch of people I ever met. The boys put there bands on Feb 16th. They have came such a long way. Both boys are showing outstanding improvement. The word now is that they will continue to wear their bands till they are 2 years old. Recently I painted their bands for football season to look like Colts helmets (GO COLTS). Thank you to everyone who has ever responded to any of my post. Everyone on this site was so supportive of my family and I while we where trying to find the funds to get the boys into their bands. I am just excited to see them on the front page. I think I have emailed everyone I know and I will be calling their Dr tomorrow so they can see it too. Thanks for putting my lil stars on the front page.Sunshine, Mommie to the front page stars and VedderBeale AFB, CA

Guest guest
We go to Peds at Army but all the subspecialty phy are there. So her neurosurgeon Dr. Grant who was there he just went to chair the neuro at Duke, Ent is there Gastric Peds, orthotics, ETC. Could you get your doc to consult with dr Garret I think is his name he is neuro but I have only seen him once since Dr. Grant left but have your doc call him and see if they will fly you here to have it casted same day then have it shipped to you and get someone there to do the adjustments. Just an idea. sunshinyday01 <sunshinyday01@...> wrote: That is great. Who was your ped their?? My boys ped now is from got here from Lackland in 05.
