Guest guest
I know the events of the past several days have left us all reeling and searching for answers and for some kind of comfort. It has affected us all in ways that we may not be comprehending right now. What we're all feeling is a normal response to a very abnormal event. As most of you know, posted that I was in the air at the time of the cowardly attack on our soveriegn land. I've been doing classes around the country and this is the first moment I've had to sit down and respond to the events. My heart goes out to all of those who were directly affected by this tragedy; the victims, the rescuers, the military, and equally so, the member of our profession whose life was lost. It is with the thought of this noble dispatcher and his loved ones that I wanted to let all of you know how important it is to support the " 9-1-1 Cares. " As stated earlier, we want to be able to take care of our own. Therefore, I have pledged to donate all of the profits from my book, " Under the Headset, Surviving Dispatcher Stress " to 9-1-1 Cares. Whenever there is a purchase of the book for the next 30 days, 100 percent of the profits will be donated to 9-1-1 Cares. The book can be ordered off of the web at www.pstc911.com. Just click on the cover of the book and that will take you directly to the publishers web site. We make a difference in people's lives everyday and I'm proud to be a part of our profession. And I'm proud of all of you for pitching in and helping to make a dramatic difference in how we respond to the call for help. Take very good care of yourselves and your loved ones.
