Guest guest
Hi all. You may have seen a post earlier regarding free admission to " heroes " at any and all Busch Gardens Properties. Before re-posting or mentioning anything in our PSTC classes, I always like to verify such info. Well, the seaworld web site said Police, Fire and EMS so I decided to call the Busch folks. To make a LONG story short, 9-1-1 Dispatchers (and calltakers) ARE NOW included. I also made sure that USAR Members would be welcome also. SO, you and your families (whether you responded to the events of Sept 11th or not) are being welcome to Busch Gardens FREE. They are offering it to public safety folks nationwide as a thanks for being there. See the details at seaworld.com but it is for ANY busch property including seaworlds, busch gadrens and so on. Just make sure you have your public safety ID or (no badge necessary for dispatchers, I explained that all dispatchers don't have badges) . If there is ANY question when you arrive, let them know that Fred s (Director of Public Relations for the Busch Coporation) has approved 911 professionals to be part of the program. Below is a press release that explains some details. Thanks all! America's Heroes Offer The Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., its subsidiaries and wholesalers, are honored to welcome America's Heroes into their parks and is offering an opportunity for them to share time with loved ones. The America's Heroes offer is a small way SeaWorld and Busch Gardens can thank and recognize the nation's police, firefighters and emergency medical workers for their tireless commitment and dedication to public service. Starting Friday, Oct. 5, every police officer, firefighter and emergency medical worker presenting current photo identification and proof of employment will receive a customized park Passport valid for free, unlimited admission every day through December. (The offer is valid every day in 2001, not only at SeaWorld San Diego, but also at all other BEC parks, excluding Discovery Cove.) Immediate family members accompanying each hero will receive complimentary admission on their first visit and 25 percent discount on all subsequent visits. (All family members and guests must be accompanied by the hero.) The America's Heroes tribute is part of the ongoing assistance Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., has pledged to support relief efforts of the Sept.11 terrorist attacks. The Anheuser-Busch Foundation donated $1 million to the American Red Cross in Greater New York for relief efforts to aid victims in the New York metro area. Anheuser-Busch donated nearly 10,00 cases of canned water and more than 40,000 cases of 180 energy drinks to aid rescue workers in New York City. To receive this free park passport, police, firefighters and emergency medical workers must show their badge and City ID at the entrance to the parks.
