Guest guest
Joy, your "just do it" attitude and creative solutions to maximize your exercise in the hospital is inspirational, and a good part of the answer to why you've thrived against heavy odds all these years. Gotta love ya! Kay Re: keeping 'fit' Hi Leon, when i was stuck in hospital toooo many times in one year...and more... I maintained my limited Tai Chi in the small space between my bed and wall, did 'push ups' using the end of the bed, leg stretches using whatever chair was available and walked up and down the corridor, and then outside - anything to not just sit in a chair on in bed... even so the loss of muscle tone is significant. IF I have to land in there again I'll ask for therabands and weights (oh, hang on I tried that, no could do...) will have to get my own! but then there's ockie straps, books bottles... some great suggestions Leon cheers Joy Consumer Representative Respiratory Diseases Clinical Practice Improvement Networks Qld endiandra@...
