Guest guest
I know ACT is not designed with religion in mind, but I am wondering if the ACT principles can be used to help me with prayer? I have trouble with focus and concentration - thought maybe if I could accept my stray thoughts that would allow me to focus on my prayer instead. Guest guest
Hi Esther I have found that doing mindfulness exercises before praying help me to focus. For me it has been good 'mind training' (apart from all the other benefits) as I have learned not to waste time judging myself for going off in my mind, but to just gently return to the point of focus. Blessings Ingrid I know ACT is not designed with religion in mind, but I am wonderingif the ACT principles can be used to help me with prayer? I havetrouble with focus and concentration - thought maybe if I could acceptmy stray thoughts that would allow me to focus on my prayer instead.
