Is it safe to use? Will it back up My daughter? I know that Exlax will have her go but right now we just need something to make her stool softer. The doctor said to try it. So I wanted to see what you guys thought. I remember reading something bad about that stuff but I am not sure. Noelle has a LIA, No colstomy,2 years 10 months, completely potty trained. Guest guest
Yes, Miralax will soften the stool. My daughter used it for years orally, and now gets it through her cecostomy tube. Unfortunately, she had to take such large quantities of it to get any effect that she lost control of her BMs. Which is why we ended up going with the cecostomy tube. But I've used it myself and one or two doses should have the desired effect.
