Guest guest
Jordan definitely has a tethered cord and will have surgery. The doctor answered every question and then some I was very impressed. Good news he should get muscle relief and toe walking would with therapy and time reverse. Bad news he does not believe bladder or bowel damage to change (he may have never had it). Fortunately he is very skinny so the MRI was crystal clear. He did have thick filum? and the conus was below L2 appeared directly between L2 and L3. Now I can stress over surgery. Thanks everyone for all the information. I actually didn't feel like an idiot for once I had my list of questions and was mentally prepared. Guest guest
Good luck Darla! A thick filum is the simplest and least risky TC to do surgery on, when compared to a tether that involves a lipoma for example. And kids heal really quickly from this surgery compared to us adults. You will be glad when the surgery is over, am sure it will go just fine. Dee To: tetheredspinalcord From: darlahoke@...
