They are not unsual and are easily treated. Tonsils, Chinese medicne considers to be an organ ..like a thermometer that warns about danger of unfection in the body.. when gone.. the "thermomiter" is gone.. they relate to the kidenys.. system of "kidney" in TCM includes adrenal galnds, hormones, kidney, bone, brain.. kidney energy is about consitutioonal strenghth, brain, longevity. Usually when there is inflamation in the tonsils TCM will look to the kidney for the problem.. a good TCM doctor will nail the problem in a way that is non-invasive and lasting.. they way that western doctors have no idea about.. I personally (not my daughter with tourettes) have been seeing a chiropracture who specializes in energy/chinese medicine with magnet therapy. He has been awesome. He said my hip problems were caused by my female issues ... He put me on supplements to improve my hormonal system ... hip problem went away. I am not sorry though that we removed her tonsils ... They were causing soo many horrid issues including seizures ... Perhaps I will talk to him about my daughter when I travel back to visit him this summer .. and see if we can't totally resolve what few tics that now remain ...
