Guest guest
Cordel would eat stickers I think that I am going to look into getting a hospital bed/crib for him. Not that your suggests weren't all great, they would just not work for our family(he shares a room with his brother, he still doesn't understand a lot of words mainly actions). I think that he will last a little while longer in his crib, at least long enough to see what I can do. If she needed to, she could always screw it into the door molding and use a hook and eye latch on the outside so she could open it, but he couldn't. I am getting the ones that you use at the top of stairs, the ones that you screw into the door frame. I am putting them one on top of the other so they can't climb over. Then we used four inch long wood screws and mounted 1x4s to the studs in the wall, and then bought much sturdier hardware and mounted the gate to that hardware attaced to the 1x4s. That lasted a little longer, but left larger holes in the wall. I wish you luck, but do not be surprised.
Guest guest
Wow! Maybe I will just turn the handle around and lock the door from the outside. Maybe I can just keep them in their cribs forever. LOL Cori >>We did that, but ripped them out of the wall. I do not bother with gates anymore, and I am not even about to put a screen door inside my house LOL. That said, I bought an easy to open lock <the kind you can even open from the inside with a quarter, or if an emergency, even with a fingernail> and flipped it inside out. I don't even lock it anymore though. Once they figured out that it was locked - they stopped trying. So now, it's open - - they just don't know it. ;O) Grace

Sue<< Good point Sue, definitely good to have a warning. The only bad thing I can see about that is that my husband is one of those people who wakes up totally disoriented and that would scare the piss out of him, hearing the gate fall. I know because I accidentally knocked one down in the middle of the night once. Boy was he pissed at me. He told me that I almost gave him a heart attack. I know dear, that was my intention; I'll try harder next time. LOL I think I won't worry about it for now because I am sure they can stay in their cribs for at least another six months to a year. By then they will be all better. Right? Cori
