Guest guest
Geesh, , you sound like me. I felt horrible. My husband was off work for one day before Christmas, Friday, and I had the same thing; a sinus headache so bad that I was actually wondering if it was a migrane or not. I haven't had one since I had my gastric bypass surgery in 1998. So I sorta forget what they're like. WELL, you never REALLY forget what they feel like but you know what I mean. Guest guest
Yeah, I've been awake since about 2am (it's 7am now) and am planning on heading back to bed. But I think staying awake helped to dull the headache. The pressure is still there, but the pain is pretty much gone. I took a sudafed and tylenol and I think that helped, and it might have been worse because I didn't/couldn't eat all day, and when I got something in my system it helped. - On Sun, 19 Dec 2004 06:14:29 -0500, Margaret Drinkwater wrote: > > Geesh, , you sound like me. Guest guest
It almost sounds like you are getting sick after the sudafed.... You know with having IBS, our intestine's can be sooo sensitive. ? But yes also with IBS - I can have 1 glass of wine [which is smaller than a beer] and the next day I will have the runs... ;- / But i don't throw up. It may have been a combo of things unfortunately.. Plus we always have to consider we are already [well - most of us] diluted with meds in our bodies all the time, even if we haven't taken any all day. Just my thoughts only anyway, but I am thinking it was a combo of things. They say alcohol is actually a stimulant and of course so is Sudafed. Alcohol actually hurts your sleep too... it is well known that it wakes you back up, later. Speaking of Sudafed - that stuff never ever used to bother me. I used to take it for sinuses. But it seems now if I take it - I get all shakey and just.. blech. I can feel the stimulant part, whereas I didn't used to.... Strange. Another thought is maybe you have or had a flu? So your intestine's and head just aren't a happy camper. {{{{}}}} For your question - I don't think my alcohol tolerance has changed..... But I think it depends on how I feel, what I've eaten [if anything] and what meds I've taken, as to how it will affect me. xo li ----- Original Message ----- So, now for my questions...What is your alcohol tolerance... has it gone up or down since FMS?But I doubt that this is a hangover gone out of control...Any remedies? My mom made the broth for me, but other then that shewas kept her distance in case I really was sick - what happened to thedays when I could curl up with my mom on the couch when I was sick? =(
Guest guest
I didnt take any sudafed before I got sick on saturday morning... except at 6pm friday night... that was more then enough time for it to get out of my system... And even today I keep getting nausous ( I keep spelling that word wrong..) after I eat, no matter what I eat. I had eggs and some water for breakfast, kept it down, but felt like I needed to stay near the bathroom =( I hate being sick. - > It almost sounds like you are getting sick after the sudafed.... > You know with having IBS, our intestine's can be sooo sensitive. ? > > But yes also with IBS - I can have 1 glass of wine [which is smaller than a > beer] and the next day I will have the runs... ;- / But i don't throw up. > > It may have been a combo of things unfortunately..
