Guest guest
OOPS! I almost used my signature three periods after my Subject which is normal for me. I didn't realize that it was messing up anyone's email. O.K. now that is out of the way! I woke up one morning last week and my hubby asked what is all this money in our bank account? I looked, and sure enough, there was a large deposit from the U.S. Treasury Dept. and we couldn't figure out what for! Finally, two days later, my lawyer for my disability case called and told me that my re-application filed a year ago had been pulled for a Q.A. review and had been overturned and I was now eligible for Social Security Disability payments. WOW! I was shocked, because I have been fighting with them for 6 years now. Not much back payment since this was only filed a year ago, and they only pay after you've been disabled for 6 months, but, he got his, I got mine, I'm getting a good monthly payment since I was previously making pretty good dollars for what I did, and I'm only 49. I have FMS, DDD, Arthritis, Bipolar, Memory Loss, etc etc. I believe what set it all off is an accident with my dog pulling me down while she was onleash that set it off. From what I understand it's pretty unusual for a SSD case to be approved with these symptoms, especially since they based it on only six months of doctors appointments, according to their records. What I want to convey is that it's very important to keep a list of what you want to talk to your doctors about at each appointment and make sure they record it, even if it means writing by hand. My doctors keep detailed records and I know that's what helped with my case. ANYWAY, I'm so happy that I was approved for SSD that I can't contain it! But, my sister, who is two years younger, died last Friday of a heart attack! It was so sudden, we are still in shock from it. She had untreated chronic pain from a broken neck and back, and hepatitis C from a blood transfusion due to hospitalization from that back in 1980's. She just couldn't take it anymore, and it killed her. I had my monthly pain management appointment on Monday, and my doctor told me that in WA state they just passed a law that prevents doctors from prescribing any more than 120 mgs. (or equivalent)of morphine PER DAY for chronic pain management? This just doesn't seem right to me! I take 800 mg per day everyday, and am just now starting to cut back as I've become hyper-sensitive to pain meds and more isn't doing me any good, especially for arthritis. But I can't take NASIDS as I've had stomach bleeding in the past and I'm not sure where to go from here! My doctors are great, they're so understanding and they know each other, so that helps (my pain and primary care that is), I sure have no complaints there, but am so scared about what I read here, people stealing meds, getting cut off due to doctors going out of business, etc. that it makes me paranoid at times. O.K. enough rambling, everyone have a pain free day, and I'll certainly watch my messages from now on to make sure I'm typing out all the words, not using abbreviations, and extra periods like I normally do.
