The problem is the AC will only go 15-20 below the outside temp so it is still so hot in here. The humidity is gone, but heat still gets me. I have my cooling vest on cause it's 75 in the house at almost 8 pm here in Indiana. Our town does a great job spraying for mosquitos I think I have seen

less than 10 this summer. I am glad my tax dollars are being put to

use. It wasn't that nice before the west

nile virus was going around.

Shirley-

That's my problem too. The only AC I have is one window unit. So, I close all the doors except for the one room I stay in. (Living room) It's still 82 degrees in here at 8:51 PM. This is North Carolina, so the humidity is rough, but the window unit at least keeps the humidity outside, where it belongs.

Mindy-

My big plan for the day was to wait until the sun started going down. Then, I was going to take a walk. Well, that didn't work out the way I planned. It still never got cool enough. The sun is totally down now, and it's still hotter than a hornet.

There is a pond a couple yards away from my back door. The mosquitoes are having a camp meeting in my back yard. The heat doesn't seem to bother them much. Maybe it's because the humidity is so high.

It is still 94 here at 10:30---just saw

that on the news. We hit 103 again today. Stayed inside today except for a

quick dip in the pool. Not very cool since the water temp was 88. Yesterday I

was outside all day at a ball tournament. It was pretty miserable. Didn’t

seem to affect me too much. Drank tons of water and sat in the shade.

Weatherman is calling for 100s all week. Yuk….

Can’t believe it was101 in Wisconsin. Its supposed

to be cool up there.

Cold showers, minimal clothing (none after kidlet's beddybye time), salt eye pillow kept in freezer and application of same on eyes and forehead at the same time as cold neck scarf....aaaaahhhhh

LOL... yep that's me! Yesterday it was overcast in the morning and we were able to open the blinds. Wow! Light! Then the clouds cleared off and everything had to be closed up again to keep that burning sun out.

Years ago, after just returning to Arizona from New York, I moved into a neighborhood where many of my neighbors did just that! LOL Kids everywhere! No adults. They were out at night though. Sometimes we'd hear the sounds of power tools as "projects" were untertaken. They weren't MSers or Vampires though. LOLOL So nice to get out of there!
