Guest guest
OK. So here’s the other shoe: “What I Have Learned FromTHIS Week†1. Enjoy the “normals†who behave normally. 2. Try harder to be the compassionate person I can be. 3. Justice DOES happen. One grocery store, H.E.B. Pantry, manager winced when I told her a water supplier was in a handicapped parking space. She immediately called for security, and I noticed a police car giving him a ticket as I left. 4. Re-writing one’s whole reality really bites. It does for everyone, though, and the more who are aware of that, the better. 5. I’m convinced that political correctness is nothing more than good manners. 6. Yes, I think governments on the whole have gotten it wrong, but traffic laws should be obeyed, because they make driving a pleasant experience instead of a frightening one. I was reaching for those last two. 7. Be sure to buy something within the 60 days before I have to renew my health card next August, and force the clerk to enter my name and address on the receipt. I’ll get junk mail for the rest of my life, but I’ll be able to see my doctor. Arg.

Guest guest
A Follow Up. Don't worry, my sense of humor's returned. > OK. So here’s the other shoe: > > “What I Have Learned FromTHIS Week†can we make bumper stickers out of these? Or a song, Mark/Louise? Or a little book of wisdom for chronically ill with illustrations to make the rest of us laugh when we need it? These remind me of the songs Weird Al Yankovich does. One of 's friends was over last weekend and brought a Wierd Al CD....we roared with laughter! Bonnie and new kitty say hi!
