you know I am on the 300 white XL pill now, right?

I am a little confused: don't I go down to the 150XL then split/titrate

that? (my psychiatrist initially recommended I go down to the 150XL -

he stressed staying on the XL all the way through while withdrawing)

are there advantages/disadvantages to staying on XL or is this the only

option?

please confirm: going down to the 300 regular pill then titrating that

is one of the options here (I prefer that to counting the pellets in

the capsule...I've never taken the capsule form of Wellbutrin anyway)

XL = extended release, right? why can't it be split/titrated?

No, you do not drop 50%. You drop 5-10% only.

This is a pill not capsule with pellets? In that case, you can split it.

For anyone who can't split a dose brcause it is too hard, then use a

liquid to dissolve it. Measure the amount of liquid. See How to Do A

Liquid Titration article in the files.

I know not to go 50% by now for sure - why I said 150mg XL was because that is the smallest form they come in. I thought: get two 150mg XL tablets, swallow one whole, then dissolve the other into liquid/split in a pill splitter so that I can begin cutting from there. the issue is: can I split an XL pill or not? (in the excellent titration article in the files, which I have read and printed and highlighted and posted on my kitchen cupboard : ) says I cannot. you seem to be saying I can (or I am misreading) if NOT, then is it ok to go from an XL to a regular pill? anything I should watch out for if I do (extra side effects, etc)? I am trying to make an informed decision on how to reduce this dosage, without causing undue stress and problems. I also don't want to kill myself by not heeding to warnings that say "never never never" split an XL pill. thanks again, hope this is clearer? p.s. as I mentioned, I have *never* seen or taken a wellbutrin capsule with pellets inside, so please disregard that altogether...unless it is the best option in your opinion, in that case I will ask the psych pusher for some!
