Guest guest
I appreciate your reply. It makes me feel that there does indeed need to be more blunt when it comes to treating and recognizing tort/plagio. Someone needs to ring the DANGER bell with regards to plagio........By the way, I may be blunt but I prefer honest........ The window is too small for treatment. There is not loads of time to play with. I wish your child was banded earlier. However, it is better late then never......I truly wish and hope for nothing but growth spurts and round noggins for every late starter............ As far as your family. It is very common. They put their noses in for all minor things like bugs, sun and runny noses but for more concerning items like plagio they keep their traps shut.......Awareness and prevention is for everyone, parents, friends, grandparents.........The more people that are aware of this phenomenon the more people who would be more comfortable with speaking up. All for now Sponagle --- In Plagiocephaly , " Reck " <reckjb@g...> wrote: > Great Story! I have been wanting to respond to your earlier message. I did not want to hear that my son needed a helmet, so when the " specialist " told us that we were being overcautious and ridiculous and that it would round on its' own, we accepted that. One because we thought he was a Doctor and would have our best interest at heart and two because like all parents we did not want our child to have to go through something difficult. > > Thanks to that specialist and someone not telling me like it is, my son did not start his DocBand treatment until 13 months.... > > And the funny thing is, when we told our families we were getting it and the information we had discovered, all three sets of parents said, " Oh thank goodness, we were really worried about his head. I wish we had stumbled across someone like you when my son was 4 months old, he would already be done. So BRAVO!!!! > > Jen- TX > Trentyn- 13 mo.
