Guest guest
Lindy Lou, Pain clinics can be a wonderful thing! They can not only give you drugs but also work with you on exercises, diet, coping stratagies... I went to one here until the doctor made a pass at me the first time I went with out my husband - and the next day it was in the paper that he was being sued by a former employee for sexual harassment. I would love to go to another one, but the next nearest one is atleast an hour away and I would not be able to drive myself there as often as I would need to go - I'm just not safe out on the roads anymore. I say try it - if you really hate it you can always quit! Good luck, jen t Find things faster with MSN Search – try it now!

Guest guest
Jen T., they give you drugs? i didn't know this!!! and i would love someone to work on my diet. i need help with that, to tell me what to eat. what i should be eating, etc. holy cow, that'd be my luck, to go someplace where someone was being sued for something. see that's what i'm worried about. i live out in the sticks and i'll either have to drive 30 miles or maybe further, to Duluth, MN. it's so hard for me to go anywhere anymore. i can drive; although, it does kill my right leg to drive, but i can do it -- it's just getting up and getting ready to go, i have trouble with. i never have ANY energy. ack!!!!!!!!!!! love and hugs, lindy lou Pain clinics can be a wonderful thing! Guest guest
hi gail, my regular old doctor was the one who ordered all my MRIs. i've had the brain, neck and lower back all scanned, a couple times even. when he first saw the results of my lumbar region, he asked, "has anyone ever told you your spine is funky?" i just looked at him. i guess he couldn't think of a better word to describe it. it's a mess. ha ha and your pain specialist prescribed all those drugs for you. how often do you go see her? i already take neurontin, zoloft and lorazepam, and others. love and hugs, lindy lou Hey Everyone, Its Gail in Georgia, I agree with Jen t. I adore my pain specialist and would drive any distance to see her! Shes wonderful and the only doctor Ive come across that can help me with the Fibro, degenerative disc disease and the rhumatiod arthritis in my hips. Ive seen 4 different doctors and my pain specialist is the only one with sense enough to order a lumbar MRI to find out what the problems are. Shes prescribed, Darvacet, mobic, neurotin, Tizandine, prozac, and zanax. Without her Id be completely bed ridden, Im 45 and am already on a cane, but atleast I can function to a degree. My pain specialist seems to be the only one that cares, I went to a rhumy and she just shrugged her shoulders, put me on Celebrex and told me to come back in 6 months. She didnt care one bit! I cant speak for anyone else, but for me personally a pain specialist is the way to go. Hope you feel better soon. Gail in Ga
