Guest guest
Hi, Since the birth of my daughter last April my life has changed tramatically. I have two other's but after her birth I started having panic attacks, anxiety, and before finally being dignosed I started hyperventlating. This happen to me three times the feeling of them had made me scared to do anything. I constantly thought I was dying my cheast hurt all the time and even other things. I have been on xanax for a year now and take them almost everyday. I feel that I can handle the attacks now and I want to stop taking the xanax but I think I am having horrible withdraws from them and I am not sure if it is withdraws or I really do need them. I get very strange feelings in my head burning, pressure, and shocking like feelings when I don't take one. I would love to know if anyone knows that this is a withdraw from them. I have not discussed this with my Doctor because I afraid she will just take me off them completley then I will have an attack. I don't want to be without them because of the fear of hyperventalating but I hate taking them like I do everyday. I take 2 to 4 .05 mg. a day. They don't make me sleepy and they do make me feel better but I don't want to have to be on them constantly. They make me very forgetful. If anyone has any suggestions or help or anything please let me know. I am just trying to figure out if I am able to live without taking these everyday and if the feelings in my head are withdraws from the xanax. Thank You, Leah
Guest guest
Hi Leah, Yes, you are describing withdrawal symptoms. The way to get off a drug like Xanax is to go very, very slowly. We recommend making reductions of 5-10% or even smaller if needed. In addition, you need to support your body with appropriate diet and nutrients so it can heal from the effects of the drug and the withdrawal. Your panic attacks were probably caused by nutrient deficiencies. It is common for women to develop symptoms after a pregnancy because of the nutritional toll it takes on the body. Most of us in Western cultures are nutrient-deficient to begin with. Take a look at the articles we sent when you joined. They will give you a good overview of how we do things here. Our methods work! Feel free to ask questions. I'm glad you found us. This is a problem that can be solved!
