Guest guest
I have been off and on antidepressants for almost ten years. Everytime I go off of them I experience symptoms of depression and anxiety, even with a doctor's guidance. Most recently I weaned off of Prozac after a year of taking it and initially felt good, but it became apparent that I was still experiencing symptoms of depression (though fairly mild). Just lack of energy and motivation, lack of interest in my usual stuff...etc. 3 months off of it, I started functioning sexually again, but had a full-blown panic attack ultimately overreacting to my boyfriend's lack of consideration one night, and then me completely anxious and upset about it and then breaking up with him...resulting in a more serious depression. He is a great boyfriend and I love him, but I felt like I was going insane. In order to actually be able to eat and get out of bed in the morning, I went back on prozac. Now 5 months later, I am back with my boyfriend, but due to the sexual dysfunction, which got even worse this time around, I decided to switch to Wellbutrin. Sexual function back, but side effects suck, and I am not sure if it is even that great for my mood. It's been about 2 weeks. Anyway, to me it is very confusing as to when there are withdrawal symptoms or when there are symptoms related to depression and anxiety. I am a very healthy young woman. I excercise and eat healthy organic foods, take supplements, do yoga...etc. Depression and anxiety runs in my family and has actually ultimately taken my 40 year old Aunt's life. It's not something I take lightly as I have attempted suicide in the past. Any suggestions on natural alternatives for someone diagnosed with major clinical depression and anxiety. What about Amaryl, does anyone take that with success? I am ultimately afraid of what all of this is doing to my body and brain. Thanks for reading __________________________________________________
