Hi ,

I would like your input on making another decrease in my Geodon.

Since I'm getting so low I really would like input on what you think

would be the best plan for me to follow.

I've been at 16mg of Geodon for 4 weeks now. These past two weeks I

have divided it into 3 dosages and this has taken away the below

mentioned withdrawal symptoms. Since doing this I've felt fine at

these dosages. I explain below.

I spread it out over 3 dosages: (9:30am 6mg, 3:00pm 4mg, 9:30pm

6mg). Adding the afternoon dose has been a big help. I no longer

have the pounding heart, shortness in breath, tightness in the chest

and my pulse skipping beats, and the other withdrawals.

I have thought about reducing on May 1st, which is this coming

Monday. Please tell me if you think reducing the Geodon by 1mg is

too much and not a good idea. I know it's alittle more than 5%.

If you think it is okay, then at what dosage should I make the cut?

Should I split it in half and take .05mg from the 9:30am time, and

the other .05mg from the 9:30pm dose?

Or should I take the 1mg out of just one of the dosages? If yes,

then should I take it out of the 9:30am time? I want to try and

avoid experiencing withdrawals during the night. I'm still taking

the 2mg of Klonopin at 9:30pm.

With the other psych meds I came off of I never had the " heart and

chest " withdrawal problems. Do you know what it is about the Geodon

that results in the heart and chest problems? It's really kind of

scarey feeling your heart pounding, shortness of breath, and having

your pulse rate skipping beats, along with the other things I've

mentioned.

I can handle the fogginess in my head, irritability, senstivity to

noise, headaches and the other kinds of symptoms, but not the heart

thing.

Anyway, sorry I'm repeating self. I will go with what ever you

suggest, I'm learning alot more care has to be taken when you start

getting into the lower dosages of these psych drugs.

Thanks for your input and advice concerning my decrease.

Hugs,

V.
