Guest guest Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Dear all - Tuesday was the first day of my 3rd reduction from 20 mg of Prozac (10 years - YIPES!). I decided to just reduce 5% this time since the last reduction (10%) induced hives and took about 7+ weeks to work thru. I had been feeling really stabilized so I waited another week to 10 days to make certain I wasn't missing some other WD symptoms but didn't notice anything, so I decided it was time to continue. Do any of you feel a little scared at the prospect of the next reduction? I feel a bit like when you go over the top on a rollercoaster. You know you went on this ride voluntarily. You know that you have to go down to finally get off the rollercoaster. But boy oh boy do I just wish I had never gotten on. This is my 6th day of my 3rd reduction. Headaches are back, and my short term memory is very erratic. I have a hard time finding words in many conversations but this has seemed to be fairly constant since I started the weaning process. I will meditate. I will eat what my body should be eating. I will take my supplements and I will continue to believe that it is within my power and reality to take back control from this medication. I ask for your support and give you mine.
