Guest guest
It has been 1 year since I saw the regular doctor. She has participated by writing out fr the blood tests. I am grateful. She wasn't congratulating me that I have reached remission. Hmph! I told her aboutthe copper and how it will help utilize the iron, and she didn't know. She told me to have the TSH checked every 3 months for a year and then every 6 months. I asked for a full chem screen and she said " fast " for 12 hours and OK. I'm ready for that. The mercury test is separate and I will have to pay. So..............I saw the doctor.
Guest guest
I took Tristan to the doctor's tonight because I knew that his primary was taking the walk-ins. He said that Tristan has shown improvement from the repositioning. He wants us to continue repositioning for another month and see if he continues to improve. He also said that his neck is not as tight.

Guest guest
Kathie, do you want to borrow my fuzzy socks and my big blanket... and a good movie? Girl you should not be embarrassed... I would come and curl up on the couch with you and we could watch some chick flicks, and I can hand you the tissue box.. Or perhaps a warm beach in acapulco?? warm sand just lay there?? Guest guest
Hi Kathie, I am glad your check up was good for now. Aspiration will put you immune system on overload which can make you suseptable to colds etc. I have had some severe aspiration get into my sinus. Just a small amount can trigger a sinus infection. With achalasia and my other ailments Celiac and DH I gave up trying to limit my antibiotic intake. Aspiration pneumonia doesn't always show up on x-rays the way x-ray techs and DR's are used to seeing pneumonia. I had chronic bronchitis for years as well. My Dr said it most likely was the Achalasia just coming on very slowly. Before my diagnosis with achalasia I had various DR's call it chronic bronchitis, walking pneumonia, and even legionaires disease. Good Luck and don't hesitate to go back to your primary care or GI dr if your insurance plan will allow it. Saw the Doctor Hello All, Thanks for all the concern and suggestions. Guest guest
Dear Kathie ("the wimp in Pittsburgh").I don't know how you do it Kathie but you talk about bronchitis and pneumonia and still make me smile. You are totally wrong about being quite important. In my opinion, you are VERY important and I always love to hear from you.It is very good news about the clear x-ray. I am happy to hear about that. I don't know what the situation is like in your part of the world, but in England nearly everyone you meet has or has just had a cold and cough. It sounds af if you have the same attitude to antibiotics as I have. I try to avoid them if at all possible because I think they do not do your immune system any favours in the long term, and if you ever had something really bad, they would probably be more effective.I prefer to try something more natural and have found that garlic and echinacea tablets, taken as a course, not all year round, are very effective. Apparently the garlic is antibacterial and the echinacea has antiviral properties, so together they act like a natural antiseptic.I don't envy you having to sleep in a chair. Will you be in the living room on your own? If so, poor little Kathie. I hope you don't feel sad and lonely. Have a good book by your side and read rather than lie awake thinking. The book will help you to nod off anyway eventually.Keep up with the water. That will help to rid your body of the toxins caused by your cold, flush the little blighters out!!I can't do anything practical to help you, can't call round with shopping or do your ironing for you, but I can send you lots of good thoughts and hope you will soon be back to your normal self.Love from Ann in England xxxxxx>> Hello All,> Thanks for all the concern and suggestions. Guest guest
What time will you arrive? I am standing by the front door ..... On second thought, what kind of a friend would I be to share this with ANYONE! I volunteer at the Veterans Hospital once a month and tonight was my night. I decided not to " share " there either! Thanks for the support ... Kathie > > Kathie, do you want to borrow my fuzzy socks and my big blanket... and a good movie? Girl you should not be embarrassed... Guest guest
Hi : I know that you have been thru hell ... seems like maybe I am only purgatory??? I am sorta letting it ride for a few days. I now have a full blown cold, and although it is miserable, I do not think anyone every died from a cold. It will pass. I am just working slower ... alot slower! The cough is so violent, but again, I am used to that. I actually wrapped my ribs last night and re-wrapped them today for support. I do that now because I know how painful broken ribs are, and how long they take to heal. It seems to work. The surgeon actually said that about my " chronic bronchitis " too. He said I may find it happens less now that the Achalasia has been tended to. I usually get it 2-3 times a year. I had my first bout in December ... 10 months after surgery. Maybe he is right. OK ... enough about me. Hope you are well. Thanks for your response. Kathie > > Hi Kathie, > I am glad your check up was good for now. Guest guest
Hi Ann: You are so sweet ... I just want to jump on a plane and come visit you. Guess that is a bit out of the question, but I can dream. As soon as this all started, I carted myself out of the bedroom anyway, because I worry about giving it to my hubby. He is in the middle of treatments for his cancer, and cannot get treated if he has even the slightest fever or ailment. We just hate it when he has to miss a treatment, so I go nuts with the Lysol (buy stock in the company today!!!) I spray everything in the house and have just about washed the skin off my hands! The best thing about this is my house is never so clean as when I am sneezing and coughing. The garlic and echinacea sound like a good idea. I thought that once you have the cold, it is too late, but perhaps I will look into maintenance when I am healthy. Yes, I am in the family room. My trusty doggie lays by my side as always ... so I am not really alone. Thanks for your kind words ... they always cheer me! Kathie Dear Kathie ( " the wimp in Pittsburgh " ). > You are totally wrong about being quite important. In my opinion, you are VERY important and I always love to hear from you.
