Guest guest
Hi there, I actually started getting SSI checks about 4-6 weeks after I had my phone interview with them. They were just plain SSI checks at first in New Hampshire (that's where I live). After you apply, they give you six months of plain SSI when you are applying for SSDI because the SSDI needs to go through a review board. About two weeks ago, I received a letter from the SS Office that my six months of regular SSI was up. But that my SSDI case was still pending and low and behold I got the phone call saying I was approved when I was in the hospital. I just wanted to say hang in there, it will happen. Unfortunatly some states take longer to get benefits in. Also some states have more red tape then others that you have to go through. If you need to talk just e-mail me. Oh where do you live? ((( HUGS))) cobraodc wrote: About your SSDI, may I ask how long did you wait to get approved? I'm going on 10 months. I wish I would get that call. I am badly in need.
