I feel so sorry for her getting tangled up in this mess. She went into the relationship believing all his lies that he was single and in love with her. I was impressed that she testified against him and that she taped those conversations for the police. She is a brave woman. But something we all half to remember here is She and also have a child together..SHe was trying to protect her child and her self by testifying.. We will never know the whole story of what happened to Laci and baby Connor.. But I tink Amber know's a bit more than she is telling.. Guest guest Posted December 14, 2004 Report Share Posted December 14, 2004 i heard yesterday that once when scott was pulled over by the cops, that they found a map to amber's workplace, rope and knives in his car. was he planning to kill her too? you know, i started out, way back, thinking scott was innocent, but the more and more and more i heard, i knew he was guilty. i even feel bad now that i ever thought he was innocent. how could ANYone kill their pregnant wife, whose due to give birth so soon? and then, to dump the body into the water, where her body would be torn apart and eaten by waterlife. and then to sit there, in the courtroom, while the pictures of her remains were shown and not show any emotion. what kind of nutcase is he? i know they say he's a sociopath and a narcisist (sp) and i'm sure they're right. thing is now, he'll sit on death row for who knows how long and he'll live, even though locked up, he's still living, where as lacy and conner, are gone. i doubt if anything like this happened in my family, i'd ever get over it. my heart goes out to lacy's mom and family. the pain they must still feel. and scott's family as well. to think your son did something so horrid. how do you live with that? i hope someone writes a book because i'll be the first to buy it. and oh, as far as amber goes, i'm sure when she first realized who scott was, she must have had a terrible fear run through her blood. i'm so glad she was brave enough to stand up against him and help convict him. He was in extreme selfish mode and probably just... wanted to "do away" with *that* life... I doubt he even saw them as human? I think people who do things like that... just aren't even in "human mode" themselves... their minds are so sick. I don't know.. I'd be interested to learn about his mental state of mind... even in the past. Makes me realllly wonder if his past is being hidden - what was he like as a kid?? Yuck... someone like that surrre needs to be behind bars - maybe he was a serial killer in the making. In that respect, I guess you could say poor Laci and baby may have saved others.. :-( Pooor Laci - he was such a good con artist in his sick mind and put up such a good front - he was probably an expert at trying to appear normal... I am sure she never had an inkling that he was so sick! I don't buy for a minute that she didn't know he was married though. When I was single I NEVER met a married man that I didn't IMMEDIATELY know he was married! I don't care how long and strong he denied it....I *KNEW* _INSTANTLY_. I think that she " didn't want to know " , so she chose to believe the lies he told her.
