I am so Happy for you! Way to grow ny! Please let us know when he is an official graduate. I'm glad you found a wonderful orthotist.

!

This is my first post to this group, but I have noticed from the archives that other are using the Nic Band from Hanger P & O on Long Island (formerly CPO Consulting). My son has had his helmet since April 29, 2003 and we are noticing a tremendous improvement! He also has torticollis and is in physical therapy. We started the helmet shortly before his 5 month birthday and his neurologist hopes that he might be done by the end of the summer (fingers crossed!) Cappo has been fabulous and the folks at Hanger made sure we got our insurance (Oxford) to cover the helmet. Just wanted to share that we are very happy and are hoping for an excellent correction. To look at our son, his head now looks almost entirely rounded to the untrained eye (and he was diagnosed with severe/moderate plagiocephaly). His ears are still a bit misaligned, but hopefully that will correct with time.I want to credit the information supplied by this group with spurring me to push for the referral to a neurologist at ny's 4 month checkup and telling my ped that I wasn't going to buy the story that his head would correct on its own any longer. As soon as I started making a stink, I got my referral. So thanks everyone! We caught it early thanks to you! & ny (12/6/02) For more plagio info

Hello everyone:) I too used Cappa from Hanger on Long Island. He is

great. When he saw my son and how flat he was, he asked if anyone said anything

about tortacollis? Well he was correct. Austin has it on both sides of his

neck. I just thought he was just sitting very streight and proper. But most of

all I like to thank everyone in this group you a great wealth of knowledge.

Austin ( 7 mon. banded 6/24) Roslyn N.Y
