Guest guest
What do you do, Bill, to try to stay cool? Being from the Arizona desert I have some ideas and tips for you. Carry a spray bottle. We can buy spray bottles here that have a reservoir for ice cubes and water and a fan run on batteries. Do you have those in Indiana? Do you have a neck cooler to wear? The kind you soak in water and it has absorbent crystals inside that swell up with the water therefore lasting hours. Some people have suggested fishing vests with pockets to slip blue ice packs into. Step into the shower with your clothes on. (don't laugh!) That will absolutely cool you off in a big hurry. I've done that plenty of times. Go run water over your head. Can anyone else add to this list? Sharon MS-Bill wrote: I noticed today even my left hand has swollen and also a little in my left cheek. Guest guest
Yes, Sharon I have a couple of things to add. Tonight I took the grandkids to Walmart and Zack found a small fan that hangs around the neck. It runs on three double A batteries and is really quite nice. I have worn it the rest of the evening and part of the night. In fact I plan on getting at least two more. One to keep in my purse or car and one to keep upstairs. Also they have hats out that you put a cold pack in a pocket in the crown that work quite well. I got mine from the MS Society. I have not gotten it out yet this year because it is one of the things that are that missing box. Oh yes there are wrist bands that have those absorbent crystals in them also.
