Hi Ina,

That gave me a chuckle this morning :)

Sounds to me like someone has no intention os sharing his and your

space...not even with an inanimate object!

Also....mmmm...perhaps, Voodoo???

Cheri :)

Hi Ina,

Cat whiskers are just like any other hair...they constantly grow, fall out and

grow back again. If you look at you cat, you will find that at any time there

are shorter whiskers catching up, and if you count them there are rarely the

same number on each side!

I'd say kitty has just lost two at once through being so active. Not to worry.

On the other hand, if your cat were to lose ALL its whiskers, it would be very

difficult. this would only happen if they got singed in a fire or if they were

cut off. Cats use their whiskers to judge space...if their whiskers brush when

they try to move through a space, then their bodies most likely wont fit.

Love Glenda

my cat got in a fight

dear ceda friends,

could any one tell me what happens if a cat pulled out a few whiskers

my cat isnt to fond of my teddybear and got into a fight with it ( the

bear is twice as big as she is but she wouldn t let him sit on the bed

so she messed with him until hi was on the cold floor)

anyway when she got him of the bed i noticed that there where two

whiskers sticking out his tummy does that hurt my cat in anyway?

thanks ( i know the teddy didnt like it)

Ina,

Thank you for the support and I don't think the cat

should be hurt any, but I don't have one so I'm not

sure!

How is your cat these days Ina? I agree with Glenda and her comments, one

or two missing is not a big deal really, but all is far more traumatic!

she's doing great,

some one suggestion me to get the teddybear off the bed so it wouldnt

bother her anymore, so i propped it up next to the bed on a few

pillows and guess what? the cat has been sleeping on it s lap,

figures right

anyway she is being cuddle and friendly at the momentthe only thing is

she hardly eats but i think that s the heat

thanks for asking

All cats shed whiskers. They will grow back. Not sure how to prevent it

happening again, though.
