Guest guest
I can share your feelings about barretts esophagus and acid reflux. I made a bad decision in the early 90's and had radical surgery for my acid reflux. At that time they cut your whole stomach open from chest to naval. Talk about pain. Anyway, it has left me unable to burp, throw up with the frequent nausea that I endure, terrible gas pains and irritable bowel syndrome all made worse by the back pain that I now have. I have passed out on the potty. I have passed out and broke my nose on the way to the potty. I have dry heaves regularly which is very hard on the back as you must know. I also have a heart condition called WPW which makes my BP drop suddenly leading to feinting dead away. I am only just learning to cope with the back pain and not doing well with it. I can not imagine shingles being added to my plate. The allergies and rashes that come with it are bad enough. I feel you pain. I feel your desperation and depression. I take antidepressants. Have you tried those? They do not stop my pain and other discomforts, but do help some with the feelings of utter hopelessness. I hope you find your answer soon. When you do please share it.
