Guest guest
, I've been doing some more research on this topic. It's been incredible this month, I'm starting to think I could do with a transfusion. If vitamin A might help, then I suppose I have a few alternatives. The GOL multi already offers a fair bit of carotene. I could switch to the Eskimo 3 fish oil but I can't get any figures for how much A that has in it. I also remembered someone posting in Social W & R about curing this problem by having a glass of carrot juice every day. Maybe that's an idea, as I have a juicer now. I'm not sure how much a " glass " is though. I've been visiting one site called Doctor Yourself and it suggests that you need to juice 8 large carrots to get about 20,000iu of A, which seems an awful lot of carrots. I juice twice a day usually, so maybe I could try adding 3 carrots or so each time. Thanks again , .
Guest guest
** , stop thinking it to death. A glass is a glass. Like a glass of water. 8 carrots? So what? This is where the nutrients come from. C > > , I've been doing some more research on this topic. I added 3 carrots to my juice yesterday morning and quite quickly developed gastro-intestinal upset, nausea, and loose bowels. Similar to the reaction I've had to the GOL multi when I've gone too quickly with it, though not as intense. It surprised me, because I EAT 2 or 3 carrots every morning, though chemically I know my body's reaction to carrot juice won't be the same. I wonder why my body seems to react like this to carotene? But maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree; and maybe, as you say, I'm making too big a deal out of it. Many thanks, .
Guest guest
, please don't bother about this. I think I got the brief illness yesterday from an ingredient in my juice other than carrots, and I've been OK with them today. I'm trying to keep a lid on things rather than running here in a panic but I guess I'm not very good at it yet. Talking about how useless doctors are, I gave mine a week to write a note to give to my gym so they could suspend my membership (which means I wouldn't have to pay while I'm ill and can't exercise). On the last day of the week I phoned several times but nothing doing, they missed the deadline and it's cost me another £45 for a useless month's membership. The manager of the gym is totally inflexible, I'm sure he just loves getting my money. I'm so angry I could spit. Should have quit the place months ago, I've wasted so much money. I could have bought my own treadmill. Are doctors actually any good to us in any way-?

I can't give appropriate answers if I don't have all the details. It seems to me the route to go would be Vit A. C

I think there was something wrong with the spinach I used; it smelled weird even after washing, and stupidly I still used it. I've made the mistake of coming here in a panic again, before getting much information myself, and I apologise. Thanks for replying, and I'm going to carry on with getting vitamin A from the carrot juice like you've suggested. Thanks, .
Guest guest
I was thinking if I ever broke a leg or got snakebite I might seek medical treatment. That's about it! roadlessgraveled wrote: > Are doctors actually any good to us in any way-?>Yes, they can be useful as a bad example.
