Guest guest
Hi everyone I found out that I had a cautery method done times three which means that the Dr burnt my tubes three times. I was told by Dr Berger (when I was investigating my options ) that I was a candidate for this procedure (TR). Just thinking of it being burnt three times would seem to me that there wasn't a whole lot of tube left. I sent the reports to several doctors (not just Dr Levin)and another one here in Maine said I would need a laparoscopy to find out how much damage was done to my tubes. I am assuming Dr L will also want that done. Since I am paying for this procedure myself ( no rich uncles in my family)does anyone know how much a laparoscopy costs and does Dr L do it at time of TR? I will talk to him about it during our consult on June 7th but I was kind of wondering now . Sorry for the book. you guys are great :0)
Guest guest
, We are in the same boat(burnt thrice). Dr. L. told me the success rates can range widely depending on the op report. Do you know what kind of coagulator they used? Bipolar is better than monopolar. My op report said bipolar, so I am keeping my hopes up. My consult is on June 11th. Will you let me know early what he said to you. I am so impatient I could bust. I actually called the office of ob/gyn who did the TL and asked if they knew how much tube she destroyed in her procedures. They were oblivious. It would have been more honest if they had just said " DUH!!!!!!!! " Anyways, I have my fingers crossed for you. Please do the same for me. How old are you? When do you plan on having your TR done, as long as it is possible. Oh, by the way, I am also going to my ob/gyn tomorrow for some unexplained pelvic pain. I am fairly sure it is ovulation discomfort, but I am actually hoping to get a lap. out of the deal. I am fruity, sorry. Otherwise, my sister works for a surgeon, and she said to just get an elective lap would be really pricy. I think Dr. L. does do them, but just as he is already starting the procedure. Ya know what I mean? You could always try to bribe your ob/gyn to give you one under a covered reason via your insurance. I think I am going to be brutally honest with mine tomorrow. He is one of those God-complex guys. Yuck. Needless to say, I am only using him for what I need right now. No way would I let him deliver any of my babies. Ohmigosh, I just wrote an entire novel. Sorry. Let me know, and keep in touch with me. You can e-mail me personally or via the group if you want. Carol

Yes I plan on having it done reguardless. It's kind of different for me because unlike alot of women on this site, my objective isn't to necessarily have a baby. I mean if the Lord would like to bless me and my family with a baby (s)he would be well received but I just want to give God back control of my family size and " fix " what I destroyed with disobedience. So you understand? I hope so. Anyway, I will let you know what Dr L says about my TR. Take care Have a great night

Guest guest
, I agree, when the times comes for me I wont do the test either, because hey I have no chance now (unless God performs his miracle) even if I have nothing there I figure that will be better than now!! Guest guest
, I also had the cauterization done. I believe the doctor will do a lap before the surgery, not sure on the cost. I personally decided against it. First of all it's just that much extra expense. Second, I have zero chance of getting PG now and even if I have short tubes after the TR I will at least have SOME chance of getting pregnant, plus I will be WHOLE again. Good luck hon, wish I could give you more info. I wanna say the lap is like $500? But I'm sure not certain on that. --- sgrant1205 wrote: > Hi everyone > I found out that I had a cautery method done times > three which > means that the Dr burnt my tubes three times. Guest guest
, My report also say bipolar coagulation. I was told that meant that it was burnt twice?!? I must have been misinformed. I am also having a reversal, although I haven't talked to a Dr. to schedule it yet, because I am not having it til Spring of 2003. I did let a Dr. look over my report and was told that I would be a candidate for surgery. I, also, am having the reversal because of conviction from the Holy Spirit. I will welcome any children He wishes to send my way, but mostly I am trying to right a wrong. If you would like, you can email me privately and we can talk some more about our testimonies. Prayers said for you, as well as all the ladies seeking a reversal and ttc. Keyla Grant wrote: Re: Re: method of TL Hi Carol. My op report said bipolar too so that is a good sign.
