Guest guest
My POA and medical POA is an RN - she has been with hospice, and failing friends and is excellent. She told me - no on 4 point canes. Too dangerous. Like Fred Astaire on a skate board - he broke his arm on his grandson's skateboard. I have the Cadillac of rolling walkers with a seat - under the seat is a wire basket. (Thanks to sleep apnea since 1994 - I went from 135 to 220 pounds.) I can't handle the ten speed brakes - With the seat up I can put stuff in the basket - or put the seat down and sit until I stop being weak and dizzy. I also use the cane. I know that soon I will need the wheelchair - I rarely go to Wal-Mart (too expensive) and my grocery store is the only other place with a scooter. Use what you have too. It means safety. It is worse for me to fall on my nose than to use the safety aids. Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min. Make PC-to-Phone Calls using Yahoo! Messenger with Voice.
