Dear Chad,

<<I was looking in the old posts at using a Neuro-optimizer, I haven't

withdrawn from Klonopin but it sounds like it might help my symptons here:

" like headaches, sensitivity to light, sound, visual stimulation, this

football helmet feeling I have around my head. "

Nature's Sunshine HY-C - a tonifier for kidneys that take a beating from the

drugs. If you find yourself feeling fearful, you'll be amazed at how much

this helps.

I was wondering if this is a good idea or if anyone has any other

suggestions? I have problems also getting a restfull sleep or full REM

sleep.

thanks for your time.>>

** Chad, I believe it says Neuro-Optimizer should not be taken until a

person has been off all drugs for a year or more. I stand by that

statement.

The HY-C helps restore balance to the kidneys. Imbalance in the kidneys

is shown by a person being fearful in situations where he shouldn't be. But

it;'s not the answer to your condtion. No one supplement ever will be.

<<(from my orginal post)

I've been feeling this strange depersonalization now since Oct of last year

when I woke up from and had anxiety attack. I've been taking Clonazapam for

about 12 years now. The doctor started me on doxipan in Nov and Depakote,

(I haven't been on antidepressant for about 13 years) The doxipan made me

nervous and manic and depakote was horrible I was too weak, after about

three weeks the doc took me off both. I began to notice I had a dialogue

going in my head along with hearing music, so I the doc put me on risperdal,

I was only able to handle that for three or for days at the most, it made

matters much worse, I started to have extreme fear, along with more anxiety

and the dialogues got louder and I started to hallucinate.

I started Zoloft about a month ago on 15mg, per doc's orders. And I became

more nervous and along came dysphoria mania so I decided a week ago I wanted

to stop the medicine and go on something natural.

The worst part of my symptoms are depersonalization, I'm hypersensitive to

smells, lights, sounds. My whole body feels tense, my mind feel like it is

being pushed from the inside out. I don't think the Clonazapam has really

done much to help, I'm on 1.5 mg a day. I would like to get off it as well

as find an alternative to antidepressants and moodstablizers and get rid of

the depersonalization.

I haven't drank since Oct of 05, I used to drink a lot of beer for many

years. I've cut down on my coffee and I really need to quit smoking. But

again the depersonalization is the worst part about this.

any ideas on what I should do? I am only on the Clonazapam and I've been

taking B complex with vitamin C for a few months now.>>

** What you initially experienced is from the damage done by years of

drinking. IMO, damage from chronic drinking needs to be recognized and

talked about more. This will not be fixed by psychotropic drugs.

Alcohol depletes numerous nutrients and people who drink to excess often

skip meals in favor of alcohol. These things together make a person quite

nutritionally deficient.

What happened to you in Oct is due to your brain attempting to correct

itself after the alcohol was stopped. The only way to restore your health

is to do an aggresssive nutritional protocol.

I would imagine you are also eating a lot of sugar right now. This just

keeps a person from being able to heal. Unfortunately, there is a lot of

ignorance surrounding this in alcohol treatment programs and AA. They

actually promote the sugar thinking this will help. It doesn't and it

causes a person to crave alcohol more.

On to an an aggressive nutrient protocol. I can give you a general one

after the following questions are answered (with the caveat that if you have

certain medical conditions that would potentially complicate things, I would

need to bring this to the next level and do it as a private consultation).

First, do you have any health problems? How old are you? List all

prescription drugs you take. Include dosages. Do you have any allergies?

What is your current level of activity? Are you working or going to

school? Do you have a current photo of yourself (please send it to me

privately if you do)? How many years did you drink? Do you or did you do

any other drugs? Please post a five day food and drink diary.

Finally, the caffeine really needs to go. Alcohol weras out the adrenal

system. Caffeine is very tough on the adrenals and no healing can occur as

long as you're challenging your adrenals with caffeine. Will you stop

drinking caffeine?

Thanks, Chad.

Regards,
