vascular EDS ? death in family again

Hi all,

I haven't posted since my Mom died ...I have been really busy

trying to deal with Mom's affairs......but Wed. morning my cousin

died suddenly at home and it is believed that he had

vascular EDS.

He had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and they did an angiogram

and then tried to do an angioplasty and he had massive bleeding

and they almost lost him then. The Drs. suspected that he had

VEDS. At the request of my cousin they sent what they needed

to Seattle to be tested. It looks very much like he had EDS as his

mother did, and she died suddenly from a ruptured aorta a few years ago.

In the meantime they discharged him from CARDIAC CARE UNIT

to home last Fri. On Wed. am he wasn't feeling good and his wife

called 911 and when they got there he was dead. His funeral is

tomorrow.

I had begged him a few years to be tested and he was not

interested even in reading the information....so I know he made

his own decision,but I feel so badly .

Right now I can't get vascular EDS off my mind,so just needed

to post. I know how scared Beth must be right now.......she and

are in my daily prayers.
