Guest guest
Hello Randy, I had an Implantable Nerve Stimulator placed last Jan. I have Chronic Pain from unfused discs in my lower back, Degenerative Disc Disease, and Arthritic spurs in my neck and mid back. I have had two unsuccessful Spinal Fusions and am in dire need of another, but am not a candidate for the surgery due to severe scar tissue. I also have bilateral Peripheral Neuropathy from the pressure on my nerve roots and bladder problems from that also. The nerve stimulator that I had placed last winter has been a Godsend for my Peripheral Neuropathy pain. I still have severe back pain, but it took my Peripheral Neuropathy pain down to a Zero. It did help my lower back pain somewhat, probably about 20 percent, but I am so happy that I no longer have to deal with the Neuropathy pain. It kept me up so many nights, especially when the weather would change. I live in NYC and have a most wonderful pain management doctor. She is awesome. I know of several other people that had nerve stimulators placed by her and they also had excellent results. I wish you the best in your surgery.
