Guest guest
continues to improve! Today he had the rest of the drains and chest tube removed. He is in no pain and tolerating all foods beautifully, and even popped in the shower as well. He is moving around on his own and needs assistance doing little now. He is also out of ICU. Now it is only a matter of sorting his medications out so he can come home with the proper dosages. He has been referred to a specialist at the hospital next door to the children's one for continued care - a specialist who is familiar with EDS and who can care for him as an adult as well ( is only 13, but he is built like a small adult - he is solid and strong). 's surgeon did not staple or suture the wound closed - he used a special glue, so is looking toward having a minimal scar to show to all the girlfriends! It is planned that he will come home on Thursday or Friday. Beth, as you can imagine, is over the moon! Jill
