Guest guest
Prayers on the way, Sue. I hope your mum does make it to the conference and that you all have a great time. Just as well I did not book up and I was going into hospital on 17th July. Don't know if that is still the case. Will just need to wait and see what kind of cancer Allan has and whether he will need me here. Hope you have good news for us soon, I for one can certainly do with some. Love and hugs, Lilian. Guest guest
Hi Sue, I am so sorry to hear about your mom! Please know that you and she will be in my thoughts and prayers! I do hope that all will continue well -- a good attitude is so much of healing, and it seems like she has a great one -- good for her!! Maybe she will be able to go to the conference. If not, it will be for the best for her to get completely well. Please don't forget to take good care of yourself also! Love Lana

Guest guest
Dear Jill, Just a little update on my Mom. She is still in good spirits, thank God for that, but the drainage from the abdomen is not looking good, so it does not look like the intestine is taking to the stitching, at least not yet. He said this was going on for a long time, and at least now, the drain tube will drain it out, and they are keeping her for a long time to watch her. She was running a temp. though, so I don't know what to think. I don't know how she is doing so well. She already got up out of bed today. She said she feels a lot better, and that her abdomen hardly hurts compared to what it felt like before. I bet! Well, have to go, am real tired. Guest guest
Sue, Please know that your family are in my thoughts and prayers. For all of the kind things you do for others, your stress should be on the shoulders of others to help you through this time. Please let me know if there is anything at all that I can do!! Guest guest
Dear Jill, there is nothing you can do. Luckily, we have a large family, with most of us with this disease, so we've got our own mini support group. Also, our support group here is very supportive, so we are all set. I may need some educational material at some point in time, like when Mom comes home, if I don't have it here, so I'll let you know. Guest guest
Dear Sue My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Love Petra and family Need prayers > Need some big prayers, and lots of them. My Mom just underwent emergency > surgery yesterday for an absolutely huge abscess, and infected mesh from last > surgery when she eviscerated. Well, when they got in there they discovered > why. She had a ruptured small intestine. The doc said everything was > extremely fragile, he moved things as little as possible, and just sewed up > the hole in hopes that would do it, but he did not feel real confident. He > of course did not want to cut the small intestine, and try to sew back > together, as he was afraid it would not hold. She has a drain in so they can > check the drainage, and make sure there is no bowel contents in it. > Unbelievably, she was doing fine after surgery, and obsessing over the fact > that she might not be able to go to the conference. Her PMD told her she > might still be able to go, although I think she was just trying to pacify > her, as that was her biggest concern. Oh well, will keep you posted as I > can.
