Leigh, what a relief it must be for you to be listened to and validated!

I'm so glad your new doc is looking into things. What a huge burden off

your shoulders just worrying about what might have been. When I was

finally diagnosed after such a long time, just to have a name for it gave

me great relief!

Leigh's dr. appt. today

Well, I just got home from the new doctor. Love him. He is so kind and

smart. I knew him from our old church so I knew he was a great guy, but he

is a very thorough doctor. Before I could ask about thyroid stuff, he said

he was going to run a complete thyroid panel and also is testing for lupus

(ugh) and he said a few other things like CFS...he didn't talk too much

about FMS but he did say that it goes hand-in-hand with CFS and if I do

have markers show up for CFS then chances are I have FMS as well, but to

get a definitive diagnosis he'd have to send me to a rheumy. He'll call

tomorrow morning with most of my lab results and we'll go from there. He

did say he is certain it's not anything like cancer (whew). He said, " I

can't give you any real answers today but I know how to get them, and we

WILL. " I just welled up with tears, almost, at that, b/c he said it so

kindly.

Leigh, I'm so tickled pink and happy for you. Good doctors that understand Fibro are few and far between. Keep up posted on what you new doc says and your test results. Wishing you all the best and mega healing hugs for you. Again... congrats on lucking out with your new doc.
