ok I have the insurance ok to go ahead with the Nerve stimulation

device. hope to be testing in a couple weeks. I'm looking forward to.

But I know how things go, about doctors thinking and saying " I've got

just the thing to help " Its my kids I have to pull down to earth a lot

some how they are sure this is going to work and I'll be just like the

old dad.

Hi Ron

I sure understand that one. My grown kids are always so hopeful every

time I try a new treatment modality. I was always so energetic and the

first one to drag everyone out the door for a day of playing in the

sunshine. My kids would love to have me able to do the things I did with

them, with my grandkids.

For your sake, I hope the nerve stimulator turns out to be helpful. It

would be so wonderful to get some non medication pain relief!

P.S. My spell checker wants to change " Ronpat " to " Snoot. " :-)

Ron: I to am a father of some great kids and fortunate to have a wonderful wife

that has been with me for 20years. I personally know how it feels to not be able

to do things with our children. However I think of all the kids that don't hove

fathers in there lives and thank god that I can at least watch mine and enjoy

there joy. Take care brother. Chat soon

Well it’s hard to get across sometime to them that

even if some of the pain is gone I will have the same

restrictions about not doing things, an that the

problem is still there and will always be there. Were

just trying to cover some of its pain up.

Thank You for coming back online and sharing with me. I myself have the

restriction of not being able to do things I used to do. However I always try to

just be there even if I know I will hurt later.

The one thing that I know is that in time the understanding on their part will

happen. That is when you will know they understand, because their love for you

will be ten times stronger.

Well I’m not planning on telling them that if I do get

back to being able to do some stuff, That they are

going to have to start bringing back my boat , my 4

wheeler and trailer, my bows and guns, and my real

nice hobby machine shop that mostly disappeared a

little at the time, and a lot of things. I think I

will hold that back as a surprise. :)

Well Ron you sound like my two brothers who are huge Arhcery hunters in Oregon

and Idaho. Bothe are well equipped with the luxuries of having 4-wheelers and

all the toys that go along with it. My younger brother is in charge of some of

the best archery tournaments in the state of Oregon and is continuing to do more

and more.

Let me put it this way, I have all that stuff but

its all sort of walked away for right now. Last summer

I had a very large cyst cut off my spine along with 3

fusions and all the rods and screws that go with it.

But it had nothing to do with my primary pain, That

comes from some where else, so right now all my pain

is sort of mixed up, its hard to tell what place its

coming from at any time.
