Guest guest
Hi Val,…….when I was growing up here in Oregon, the only days that were humid were sometimes during the summer. I don’t EVER remember having 99 degree weather during the spring especially. I am feeling better today. My daughter Tina has had the same virus, but it settled in her ears. I’ve never been hit with so many viruses as I have in the last few years. I never use to get sick, so I don’t know what has changed? I never could wear contacts either. Just the thought of touching my eyeball gives me the eebie jeebies!! Lol…. That hot in Oregon this time of year?! No wonder you were so miserable. One of the things I hated about Oregon when I live there was the humidity. Silly me...I moved from Oregon to Texas to North Carolina. All of them high humidity states. Well, it will be nice to go to the mid-west. I'm glad your eye is better. That's one of the reasons why I never wore contact lenses. I can't stand anything in my eye. Just the thought makes me nervous. Have a nice day! Stay out of the heat if you can. God bless.... http://mscopgirl.blogspot.com http://360.yahoo.com/vallee45 -- This and That Hi everyone! I can’t begin to tell you how miserable I was yesterday! Suffice it to say that if we get any more HOT weather like it was, 99 here in my little NW Oregon town, hottest this side of the mountains, heck I think in the whole state, I don’t know what I will do! Even though I do have AC it only cooled the house down to 73. That is still too warm for me when the humidity is high, which it was! Plus it doesn’t help that I’m fighting a virus, and I’m hot from that, and menopause, etc. etc………..ACK!!! So I was down for the count yesterday. Its suppose to be cooler today, but if that humidity stays up, then it makes it very hard for me to breathe. The virus is a lung thing, so a double whammy. My eye finally normalized. I think I must have gotten something stuck under the lid, and every time I blinked it poked my eyeball. I kept flushing it out all day, and it eventually worked. J yay!! How bout that Survivor Bill and all who watch? I was disappointed when Ceri lost. I think out of them all she deserved to win something. She seemed happy to have had the experience, so she was a good loser. Well tonight is down to the final 3 on AI. Any predictions this time around? Simon Cowel was on Leno last night, and he alluded that very well could win it. My vote will be for Kat. Everyone talking about veggie gardens here, reminded me of my container garden I had a few years back. I had 3 whiskey barrels filled with good premium soil, and I grew cherry tomatoes, pickling cukes, and something else I can’t remember right now……..but anyhow, the tomatoes and cukes just exploded with produce. The cukes really amazed me how fast they grew. I swear I could see them grow at night. lol….when one day they were only 2”’s long and by the next morning they doubled in size, you would have thought they were growing by the moonlight! Lol……the tomatoes were AWESOME!! Nothing like garden fresh. I’d like the recipe for the FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, I don’t think I ever tasted them before, but they sound yummy! Val,…….i hope you can keep in touch as you go trucking! Sounds like a neat endeavor. Good luck to you and your honey! J Akiba great news that your roommate came thru with some $$’s to help out. Sharon……….word retrieval has been an ongoing problem with me, and its really bad if someone interrupts me when I am trying to say what I have to say. I lose my train of thought pretty easy. I have been doing word games and other mind games to try and “exercise” my brain, and if I slow down my thinking I can bring up the word I want. IF I am over tired then I get mushmouth…….good description!! That’s it for now folks! I hope everyone has a great day! Guest guest
Hello Jackie- When I lived in Oregon, it was right off the coast in Astoria. Beautiful little town, but it was a little too humid for me. I don't ever remember the weather being in the 90's in the spring though. I do remember alot of rain though. As far as viruses go. I've noticed alot of people having a hard time with them. Last Christmas I had a virus hit the nerves in my face, causing me to have Bell's Palsy. What a trip! I thought I had had a stroke or something. The whole left side of my face was paralyzed for a few weeks. My daughter has been catching some viruses here and there as well. Mostly in her sinuses and ears. God bless... http://mscopgirl.blogspot.com http://360.yahoo.com/vallee45 -- This and That Hi everyone! I can’t begin to tell you how miserable I was yesterday! Guest guest
Hi Val,….I know Astoria, but its been years since I’ve been there. Because its on the Northern end of the Oregon coast it usually doesn’t get that warm there. Except this week it got up into the 90’s from there all the way south…….ACK………too hot even there!! Unbelievable. :-0 My son and Aunt both have Bells Palsy. My son’s right eye has a permanent droop, and when my Aunt gets stressed she has an attack. She has to put drops in her eyes at night because they never close all the way. I don’t know what’s up with all these viruses? It seems like they never end.
