Guest guest
I am new and I will post. The doctors decided that I needed a colonoscopy because stress give me diahrea and bloat. So does sleep apnea...however, it wasn't test documented so I had one Monday. They give great drugs - that was to make up for the 2 hour delay getting started. Docs are so afraid of malpractice - well, the good ones are. We are a bit brain dead but not stupid. Smile sweetly, look blank and make them explain in simple English - failing this learn to write it down until you can get home or have a friend with you in the office to take notes. Two years of experience between onset and in June getting my first neuro eval - Aetna Insurance gave my medical information to the American Red Cross and I got fired for getting sick. I was doing the messages for the troops and it is standard procedure. I was able to get disability in July 2005 - after a congressman from here took an "interest" in the case directly. Now I am on a tiny social security disability, SSI (it goes toward rent and utilities), and $28 for food stamps. Thanks to many good friends and over a dozen sisters of the heart I am with an outstanding doctor and having the best medical care in my life - Medicaid not withstanding. Sorry for the book. I can't do stupid - many in the medical profession equate MS with braindead. Yes but we aren't stupid. Anne Get amazing travel prices for air and hotel in one click on Yahoo!
