** The nam,ing of it as a disease is a first step toward

prescribing a pill for it. Most people who go to a doc for

bulimia/anorexia end up on 'antidepressants', and lately, 'mood

stabilizers'. Prozac (fluoxetine) is FDA-approved for 'eating

disorders'.

Bulimia is a physiological condition brought about by poor

nutrition. A person who has a healthy diet has no desire to binge.

Anorexia happens when a person grows up in a home and culture that

values physical appearance above all else.
