Guest guest
Hi Kendra, I hate to jump in here but I need to respond to one small point. you said: " I saw in a German language magazine not long ago that there is a 3rd eating disorder outside of anorexia and bulimia, I'm forgotten the German word for it, but it's when someone becomes so obsessed about what they can eat that their life revolves around it and the list of allowed foods gets smaller and smaller until they're in a full-fledged neurotic eating disorder. I don't want to end up like that either. " I can see where that would happen to people, but I want to clarify that those people probably were not eating the right group of foods. Their poor food choices would be influencing negative emotions. When someone is eating freely from protein and vegetable foods, with eggs, nuts, and possibly some fermented dairy, their whole outlook on life can change for the better, and they would not be afraid or obsessed about food. I just returned from a week in a big city. I was nervous about food before going, but once there, I was very comfortable. The Paleolithic way of eating has changed me so much that I truly did not want anything bad. I ate meat, fish, eggs, fruit, vegetables, and nuts, and did not worry about small amounts of grains that got mixed in with other stuff. My body was strong enough to handle slightly imperfect food for a few days. By the end of the trip I was homesick for my own cooking. I started cooking and juicing as soon as I got home. I had no cravings and no problems getting back on track immediately. The main thing is that there was no fear, yet no uncontrolled eating either. It was balanced. That is the result of following the Eating for Recovery plan we have here. Thanks for listening, I just had to say something because the medical profession never gets tired of creating new disorders. --------------------------------- Love cheap thrills?
