Debbie,

Wow..almost there...Drew is on the fast track also..We started the

band at 5 months and he has another 4 to 6 weeks to go..total of 10

to 12 weeks..started the band on 4-28...He has a lot of growth room

at the forehead also and she keeps carving out front..I am assuming

it is to help with rounding the forehead...The younger the children

are started, the less time it takes. Keep up the hard work...Keep

rounding away!!

Hi Debbie:Yay!! I can defintiely see correction in his pictures! Sorry to hear about how sick the poor little guy has been, sounds like he's getting well finally! It's summer, he can't be sick!! Let me try to answer your quesitons below:

> 1)I have noticed that every time we go for adjustment she shaves > some off the quadrants that are flat (front L and back R). In the > front, his forehead does not seem to be filling up the space - but > she keeps shaving and the space is getting progressively bigger. A) Ok, definitely ask your clinician this question, I don't feel comfortable answering it w/o actually seeing what's going on!! Sorry I can't help.

> 2)Is ten weeks in the band a normal time period when starting at 6 > 1/2 months?

A) Of course that varies from child to child depending on growth spurts and severity. It'snot uncommon to outgrow a band that quickly when the child is younger like was when he began. That means he's definitley corrected nicely!

> 3)She mentioned that a second band would be up to us...when they > suggest a second band - do they re-measure so you now how much > correction you got from the first one?

A) He'd be re-casted . So he'd get a head mold from the 2nd cast and a new band would be made from the the new cast. You could then compare his 1st head mold to his 2nd to.

Keep us posted :) Thanks for your great update.
