If you are having edema (swelling from water retention) due to Lyrica,

you need to inform your doctor right away. Edema can be very dangerous.

I do not know whether or not it is true that edema is one of those side

effects that will go away with time. It was my understanding from

reading the Lyrica web site and from talking to my doctor when I tried

Lyrica myself that if you had edema, you needed to get off the drug.

In any case, make sure you talk to your doctor and keep him/her

informed about this important side effect. S/he'll need to at least

monitor you, and may want you to titrate down off the drug entirely.
