I live in Portland, and I also have a weird mystery pain syndrome that sounds a whole lot like you describe. It started with burning pain in my feet, with no obvious reason. Over time it's spread to the legs as a whole, then arms, and now is pretty much everywhere. When I have a 'pain fit' it starts with knees or feet, spreads up the body until it's everywhere from the neck down. And I, too, swell. Would you let me know how it goes for you at OHSU? I'm going to Spine Care Northwest, so if it ends up that we have the same strange thing we'll have two pain practices looking at it. Might help us, and them, figure out what the heck is going on.
