Guest guest
I was wondering how common it is in families for people to all be given the same gift. The same sweater, the same necklace, the same...you name it. How do you deal with such a gift when you know it has a counterpart with your nada? Do you keep it and use it as you normally might or does it always feel icky to you? julie
Guest guest
I get rid of anything that makes me feel icky. Craigslist is a great way to make it go away and make a few bucks in the process! > > I was wondering how common it is in families for people to all be > given the same gift. Guest guest
To me, it would depend on who the gift is from. If it is from a nada/fada, then most probably enmeshment, and I would feel icky about being treated as a part of something rather than as an individual. Now, if a grandparent gave all female or male grandchildren the same - age appropriate - gift, i wouldn't mind at all.
