Guest guest
Hi Dustie & everyone! We have been spending the week with my folks. Did not send a " vacation " email because they have a computer, but it crashed my 2nd day there! They got it fixed today and I have 617 emails.... Needless, to say consider this my welcome to all that have joined our awesome group. I am not even going to attempt to try and individually answer all those emails, lol. It was my 1st time to travel by myself with 2 kids. Worst day of my life.... I had a blowout in the fast lane going 80 on I35 in Waco. There were two many cars to get over so I was on a slanted hill on the fast side of the highway. The wonderful police officer was nice enough to chatise me for not pulling to the left! He said, well we cannot change it on this side! He then told me and my kids to stay in the car buckled in case someone hit us! Great! Then, right as the tow truck showed up, the torrential rain and lightening started. I had to try and drive the van up onto the flatbead while it was raining and while cars whizzed by. Then I had to run with both kids in the torrential downpour to the tow truck. We were soaked. Even my undrgarments had about a gallon of water in them. Then we had to get on 35 with my huge mini-van teetering on the flatbead, in the rain with cars whizzing by into the fast lane. I was hysterical... We finally were able to pull out and he took me to Wal Mart. We then waited at the stupid Wal Mart for 4 hours for them to fix my freakin tire!!!!! Needless to say I was less than thrilled about making the trip alone. It was a bad start to the week and I felt very vulnerable with 2 kids by myself. Anyway, sorry for the novel, but wanted to let everyone know I haven't disappeared. We will be at the rodeo and cannot wait to meet all the other locals! Guest guest
Jenn, Like Dustie said OMG! Well I can say I have been there! My senior year in highschool a bunch of my friends and I were going to the river for spring break. I was driving my best friends car b/c she was sick. I kept having to pull over on the side of the road b/c she was getting sick and when I pulled back on to the highway I had a blow out. Well we called the police and a town truck. The police actually got mad at us for staying in the car (it was raining) and yelled at us. He said that in december of that year someone was killed or something. Oh-I forgot to tell you we were in hillsboro too and ended up at walmart for hours! Anyways-been in you shoes, but not with kids just a sick best friend! LOL! Im glad that you all were ok and it got fixed! By the way Bryce will get his band on the 24th and he has at the dallas office also!
