Presents... last year, my grandmother sent nada the gift money that

she always does, earmarked for me and my DH. Nada always gives us the

cash, which is GREAT because then we can choose our own gifts with the

gift money from my grandmother.

Last year, we had been NC for less than a month at Christmas (we are

still NC). She sent presents to us, via my brother (who is now NC with

her... hmm... I spy a theme). What " presents " did she send? She bought

the WEIRDEST stuff. An onion cellar (what is THAT?), a garlic roaster

(who roasts garlic?), and about ten teddy bears for my daughter. Who

needs that many teddy bears???? She could have bought clothes or toys,

at least that would have been in the ball park of practical.

Just wanted to share my ODD story of presents. I'm hoping my grandma

sends me the gift money directly... it's always been so sweet of her

to do and it's pretty helpful to me, and also I just don't want nada

to have any other reason to go buy random weirdo stuff this year.
